I'm 21!
Yay!
After a three day celebration I think I should recap on my birthday now.
Firstly, I'd like thank everyone has wish ed a happy birthday, doesn't matter if you didnt make it to my birthday dinner, I still thank you very much for remembering this day.
What should I say? I know I should have prepared a speech at my party, but I was so overwhelmed and happy I couldn't fine the words for it.
But, if I did have another chance at the speech, I'd say this
The past three years have been very hard, I've moved out of home and i've had to adapt to living on my own, budgeting, living away from family and it does get loney at times.
But having you guys here during the day or on the phone to keep me company really help and you don't know how appreciative i am of it.
I invited 38 people to my party and 35 of you guys showed up, now to me, that is more than just "showing up" to a 21st. It really means a lot to me that you guys took the time to share this special day with me, and to be honest, if I said this person, I think i'd end up in tears..which is why I didn't. Lol, last thing you need is to see me cry on my birthday,
Thank you so much, all the presents, especially the ipod touch, hahaha..it even has an engraving on it!!
To Kevin and Kaori, you guys spent the past two weeks being more than true friends, and I will cherish everything you guys made me. Even the failed attempt at the sprite. But really, I was really close to crying when i read the card, thank you
To Uni group who chipped on the Ipod. So guys, can i tell you a story? lol..seriously, I think the line is from a movie i once saw.. haha..But really, it just means so much to me that you will never get bored of my pointless stories and i will always have many more to come
To Badminton group, thanks so much for just being there these few months, getting to know each and everyone of you, and i shall organise the next hot pot night very soon.

Hi!
Back from Canberra, finished installing the exhibition, it was, i must say..very tiring. We installed for almost 18hours..
This installation included everything, visualisation, sound, film, interaction, everything, I'll do a doco of the entire installation at a later date..

| It's been a while |

I just realised I haven't blogged for a very very long time.
I've been really busy, partly due to this exhibition I got into in Canberra, our interANTARCTICA got a spot in this exihibition in Canberra, it runs for 2 weeks from the 18th September, so if your in Canberra, take a look!
I'll have more information soon.
Other than that, I am back at uni, last semester (finally, cannot wait to graduate!)
Animation is quite interesting, its alot of work but I am so glad I forced "head of discipline" to bring it back as a subject.
There are quite a few changes in life at the moment, life is moving fast, so fast I don't think I can catch up.
Graduating, relationships, failed relationships, getting and finding new jobs, making new friends, leaving friends behind,
These three years have gone by very fast and I feel I just arrived in Sydney yesterday. Being at Central station for the first time, getting screamed at by a stranger, moving in with my brother, finding out what a dick he is, moving back to Adelaide, then moving back to Sydney, living on my own, buying a house, becoming a landlord, family issues, house issues and of course, forming a close bond with those people I have met over the past three years.
Its cheesy, I know, but moving to another state isn't easy, living on my own isn't fun, but you guys make is a lot easier to deal with. Seeing you guys, spending time with you guys, just the laughs and the jokes, lonliness no longer exists. Thank you.

| Okuribito [Departure] |

I just saw a really touching Japanese film, Okuribito or the English name Departure.
It's about a man who loses his job in the Orchestra and he finds a job which is placing corpse into coffins and sending them off.
The procedure of the en-coffining is quite delicate and it really makes you feel that you have paid respect for the loved.
Being someone who used to want to be a coroner, I guess it gives me a little hope that touching dead bodies isn't that bad at all.
Kidding
But I've always found that Japanese films are so much better than the ones released in Hong Kong. The ones released in Hong Kong are almost close to rubbish, no storyline, bad script, horrible acting and really bad editing. However this film has a very good storyline and the music chosen for this film is really good.
Plus the theme song is so sweet and perfect for the film

just a quick update on my life
I'M FLYING HOME!!!! WOOOOHOOOO
And I have this hot hot hot date with my highschool friends hehe very very excited indeed..
Uni is starting next week =( how depressing...!! I don't feel like I've had a holiday at all..I've been so busy with everything and I kind of got nothing done that I was supposed to except get fat and have a skin outbreak.
lol
Oh and my new xbox is amazing, =P I got to hide it before my father comes to Sydney.

I don't understand how you can speak to someone like he does and expect them to enjoy what they are doing?
Who does he think he is? You know you are just a physio, the way you speak to people, the way you look at them like you a piece of trash and how you belittle them, what right do you have?
argh
ever wondered why nothing ever goes smoothly in your business? Wonder why you outstanding accounts are always empty and why you are getting cheques? because us receptionist spend the time and effort to chase these things up. we put in effort to call these people and ask them to pay. You dont do anything bu print them off, and yet you speak to us like we are nothing but litter which you chuck on the ground because you don't see any value in it.
Maybe if you treated us with a little respect, we would gladly help you do what you ask for, and if we do forget..think that its because its all of the carp you get us to do, and how particular you are that we try and get everything done perfectly so you don't question us about and then get ourselves in trouble.

so just in case your business falls apart don't blame anyone but yourself and how you treat your staff. |

Opening up is something which people think I have no problem at all. But once you get too close to me, i tend to shut you off completely, its one of the things i am trying to work on because i can't just turn off whenever i like.
But i think one thing to help it is to talk to my family about the issues which are bothering me. You know, when i close up..and not talk about what is bothering me i start to analyze, most of the time..its over analyzing and i just assuming things when they might not be real or true.
So after talking to my mum tonight and i just let off a lot of steam..I feel a lot better.
Anyway, i went to a buffet tonight, SO AMAZING...lol..it was my chance to show off my eating abilities..since i have been well known for them. Hopefully ill be able to post up the pics..or check facebook =)

I love painting, which is why I want to do interior design.
I'm going to start decorating my house by painting the doors, a yellow and dark reddish colour.
So the door will be a yellow colour and the frame will be reddish. oh oh so exciting isnt it? its almost like starting a new life. which is something i need to do.
you know what else i need to do, i need to stop worrying! i tend to worry about nothing and i seem to stress about not stressing...which doesnt help. i am turning 21 so i am getting old and that means more wrinkles. which is isnt good at all.
BUT!
Hot pot night was awesome, so happy that everyone was happy
next one is getting planned..so look out everyone =) |
